We are a team of psychotherapists serving the needs of men, women, adolescents, and children, as well as couples and families in the greater Philadelphia area since 1999. Our staff of professionals have many years of experience in a wide range of psychotherapy; we have also provided “Crisis Counseling” to two local school districts as well as assisting with student behavioral plans and performing ADHD assessments.

Bill Massinger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been serving children, adolescents, and adults since 1992 utilizing a multi-treatment perspective which, includes cognitive behavioral, systems perspective, psycho-educational, and solution-focused therapy. He has a strong understanding of mental health issues and wellness in association with human development across the life cycle. Bill also provides ADHD assessments and evaluations in addition to treatments for ADHD such as parent training, social skills training, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Bill is a Medicare provider. With a long-standing commitment to the area’s mental health community, the mental health center where Bill began his career is the same in which he volunteers as President of their Board of Directors. His education and years of experience as a therapist have made possible his understanding of and resolution toward the complex needs of MH consumers and their families. It his belief that all in need should have access to services.

 

Kyle Walsh, PhD, LPC

Dr. Kyle Walsh is a doctorate level psychotherapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 35 years’ experience working with ages 2-80 providing unique individualized treatment. Central to his treatment is assisting one to take control of their daily life through evaluating, modifying, and regulating emotions, lifestyle, and behavior to improve understanding and foster improved mental health. He uses a multimodal treatment approach tailored to individual patients’ needs. Dr. Kyle has a wide breadth of training and history in both community and privately based settings serving the tri-county area with a strong belief in access to services regardless of the obstacles. Dr. Kyle has expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide scope of Mental Health needs including evidence-based ADHD testing. He is an author, an expert clinical supervisor and is contracted with local school districts working with autistic spectrum students in group and individual settings.

Jake is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is experienced in crisis management, high conflict couples, and is skilled in understanding the impacts of trauma on individuals and families. Jake specializes in helping teenagers and young adults during transitional periods of development and uses a systemic approach in his treatment of couples and families. Jake has worked directly with the LBGTQIA+ community for 9 + years. When working with couples, Jake utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy in order to work through conflicts or disagreements between the couple.

Ellen specializes in working with children, as well as young women struggling with chronic or acute anxiety. Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in different life stages. Amanda specializes in working with individuals through grief/loss, trauma, anger/ stress management, relational conflict, anxiety and depression. Her passion is working collaboratively with individuals as they process and work through trauma or emotionally overwhelming experiences. Amanda has the understanding that treatment may look different for everyone. Amanda uses modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral, Reality based, Dialectical Behavioral, Psycho-educational, and Solution focused while incorporating skills such as motivational interviewing, active listening, and identifying strengths to help the individual gain healthier perceptions of themselves and the relational world around them.

Rachel Kauffman is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in treating those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, difficulties with adjustments or transitions, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Rachel has worked with children to adulthood in a variety of settings. Rachel believes that positive therapeutic rapport and a non-judgmental space is key to change. To ensure the best outcome in treatment, Rachel often adopts an eclectic approach that draws from a variety of theoretical orientations. She also believes that building a therapeutic relationship with her clients based on mutual trust and diminished power differential is important to invoke client change.

Valentina is a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children, teens, young adults, and adults dealing with grief and loss, trauma, relationship conflicts, drug and alcohol dependence, depression, anger management, and anxiety. Valentina is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps to reduce symptoms and teach skills to overcome mental health difficulties as well as completing a certification in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD to help individuals work through trauma. In addition to CBT and PE, her other modalities utilized include Psychoeducation, Strengths-Based, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

She draws from a variety of theoretical approaches to best help each individual’s needs. Jill Sullivan, LPC

Jill is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals who experience struggles with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, and social skills. Jill has worked with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Jill believes that while we are all human, we all experience human struggles differently. Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor working with teens, young adults, and couples dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, relational issues and transitional issues. Emily is trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR Therapy and values the perspective of how earlier experiences impact our current relationship with others and the world. Dr. Kane is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified School Psychologist. He has experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including schools, residential treatment facilities, and outpatient settings. Dr. Kane has experience working with and treating various issues including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, developmental struggles, as well as LGTBQIA2S+ issues. He has significant experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as play therapy. He also has experience with psychoeducational and psychological assessments, and report writing. Dr. Kane firmly believes in a person-centered approach to therapy. He values unconditional positive regard and the therapeutic alliance in helping folks address and overcome their issues.
