About Us

We are a team of psychotherapists serving the needs of men, women, adolescents, and children, as well as couples and families in the greater Philadelphia area since 1999. Our staff of professionals have many years of experience in a wide range of psychotherapy; we have also provided “Crisis Counseling” to two local school districts as well as assisting with student behavioral plans and performing ADHD assessments.

Jake is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is experienced in crisis management, high conflict couples, and is skilled in understanding the impacts of trauma on individuals and families. Jake specializes in helping teenagers and young adults during transitional periods of development and uses a systemic approach in his treatment of couples and families. Jake has worked directly with the LBGTQIA+ community for 9 + years. When working with couples, Jake utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy in order to work through conflicts or disagreements between the couple. Jake is also an avid Eagles fan, GO Birds!

Ellen has years of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and is a trans affirming therapist. Ellen specializes in working with children, as well as young women struggling with chronic or acute anxiety. Ellen believes in the value of looking at how systems impact individuals, families, and couples.

Amanda Phillips, LCSW

Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in different life stages. Amanda specializes in working with individuals through grief/loss, trauma, anger/ stress management, relational conflict, anxiety, and depression. Her passion is working collaboratively with individuals as they process and work through trauma or emotionally overwhelming experiences. Amanda has the understanding that treatment may look different for everyone. Amanda uses modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral, Reality based, Dialectical Behavioral, Psycho-educational, and Solution focused while incorporating skills such as motivational interviewing, active listening, and identifying strengths to help the individual gain healthier perceptions of themselves and the relational world around them.

 

Rachel J. Kauffman, LPC

Rachel Kauffman is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in treating those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, difficulties with adjustments or transitions, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Rachel has worked with children to adulthood in a variety of settings. Rachel believes that positive therapeutic rapport and a non-judgmental space is key to change. To ensure the best outcome in treatment, Rachel often adopts an eclectic approach that draws from a variety of theoretical orientations. She also believes that building a therapeutic relationship with her clients based on mutual trust and diminished power differential is important to invoke client change.

Valentina is a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children, teens, young adults, and adults dealing with grief and loss, trauma, relationship conflicts, drug and alcohol dependence, depression, anger management, and anxiety. Valentina is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps to reduce symptoms and teach skills to overcome mental health difficulties as well as completing a certification in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD to help individuals work through trauma. In addition to CBT and PE, her other modalities utilized include Psychoeducation, Strengths-Based, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Marigny is trained in TFCBT and utilizes a trauma informed approach to facilitate a safe space for clients to open up and process their feelings. Marigny believes collaboration between therapist and client is key towards achieving a favorable outcome.

Kimberly Zeuggin is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has more than 10 years’ experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, community mental health, and outpatient counseling. She provides trauma informed treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with concerns ranging from anxiety, ADD/ADHD, depression, grief/loss, difficulties in relationship, substance abuse, anger management/emotional regulation, and trauma. She uses an Integrative approach to therapy that uses elements from multiple evidence-based approaches tailored to help you gain what you want from therapy and help you move forward in your life. Jill Sullivan, MA, LPC

Jill is a Master’s level professional counselor with experience working with individuals who experience struggles with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, and social skills. Jill has worked with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Jill believes that while we are all human, we all experience human struggles differently.
